Artemis Fowl: The Eternity Code is the third book in the series by Eoin Colfer. Artemis Fowl, a 13 year old genius who has a knack for criminal business, has gotten his hands on fairy technology and has constructed it into a device that is 50 years in the future. He plans to sell this C Cube to a billionaire American, John Spiro. When they meet John takes off with the C Cube and leaves Butler, Artemis’ friend and bodyguard wounded. Artemis must meet with a few friends with some special abilities to stop Spiro from unlocking its secrets.
One of the reasons this book is so awesome is that Colfer makes memorable characters such as Mulch Diggum, the hilarious criminal dwarf. Mulch is always making the reader laugh either when making a joke or trying to escape Commander Root, the leader of the LEP fairy police.
Colfer also comes up with clever plots for his novel. He makes you think that one character has won and led the other into a trap when it was actually all part of the other character’s plan.
Who can out-plot the other — Artemis or Spiro?
